Day 0, December 21: Planning to Leave for Dubai

On Sunday morning, December 22, we will leave for Dubai. On the first leg of the journey, we will fly from Atlanta to Houston. We will have a 5-1/2 hour layover in Houston before departing on Emirates Air for Dubai. (Remember that Dubai is one of the seven emirates in the United Arab Emirates or UAE.) We will depart Houston at 7:10pm CST (8:10pm EST); this will be 4:10am in UAE time. We will land in Dubai 7:45pm, almost 16 hours later.
