February 24 -- Sailing to Singapore

Today was the first of two sailing days, as we head back to Singapore. Fortunately, we did not have a lot planned for the day, because Patrise was not doing well. This GI tract infection has sapped her appetite and her strength. Most of the day was spent reading and relaxing in the room or on the balcony. We had planned to play cards (bid whist) at 4pm that day. When we went to meet the other players, we could not find them and the location was very uncertain (Deck 14 AFT?). We ran across two other member of the group, and spent some time talking to them.

At one point in the afternoon, we spent some more time talking to our stateroom attendant, Sena. He is a wonderful gentleman and has taken good care of our room and helping us. Later I learned more about his family. He is from Indonesia, specifically, Bali. He has a wife (Siska) and they have two children: Smith (son), age 10, and Sishushka (daughter), age 9. Here is a photo of Sena.

I was up early and saw the sun coming up over the ocean. We both gazed at the moon over the ocean in the evening.
