We started the day at much more leisurely pace than usual. Our next campsite would be much closer, so we took in some more of the local offerings around the Nashua area. We started by watching Perry Mason on cable tv, while still at the Field & Stream RV park. After Perry had solved the case, we pulled up stakes and went for brunch at a place we had seen yesterday in Hollis. (Hollis, NH is a little community between Brookline, where the RV park is, and Nashua, the major local city.) The Hollis Country Kitchen was as delightful on the inside, as it had appeared to us on the outside.
We were served by Jenn, the only server on duty at the time. Jenn provided pleasant conversation as she took our orders and served us the Irish Benedict we both ordered. (Irish Benedict is poached eggs served over corn beef hash with Hollandaise sauce.) Jenn learned about our trip, while we learned about her family and how she was spoiling her 4 year-old grandson by buying him monster truck tonic toys and taking him to a monster truck show.
After breakfast, we drove to the Merrimack Premium Outlet mall, to do that most American of pastimes -- shopping. This outlet mall was designed in a much more inviting, walkable style than those we have visited before. We ambled our way in and out of Bloomingdales, Gap, Coach, Chico's, Clarks and a couple of other stores. Mainly, we purchased a few replacement clothing items, but we also bought a couple of extras as well. From the Merrimack Mall we made our way north to Chichester, NH outside of Concord. Along the way, we passed through Manchester, a major industrial center from the looks of it. And has we have done all along this trip, we passed over several rivers and by many lakes and ponds. There are a lot more surface waters in these states, than we are used to seeing in Georgia. That might partially explain the greater density of their populations.
We arrived at the Great Meadows Campground about 2:30pm. Quite frankly, it is not much to look out. We are here for two days, so perhaps we will find more visual appeal in other places around the area. Tomorrow, we plan to go to see Daniel Webster's birthplace. Less you jump to premature conclusions, no Daniel Webster had nothing to do with the Merriam-Webster Dictionary; that would be Noah Webster, a Connecticut man. Daniel was a son of New Hampshire and represented the state in the U.S. Congress. He was also Secretary of State for a few presidents.
So we'll see what tomorrow brings. Hopefully we will both feel better, as we have been slowed a bit by a general feeling of malaise. We sure it's not COVID, as we both recently tested negative.
Here are some pictures from the day, but the material was rather limited.

Iconography in the Hollis Country Kitchen. There is a large Coptic Orthodox Church in Nashua -- it was featured in yesterday's photos -- indicating the presence of a significant community of people of Egyptian and/or East African origin in the city. I assume the owners of Hollis are a part of this faith community.
