Today, we bid adieu to New York, heading for Baltimore. Our experiences in NYC were good and some underwhelming. On the whole, it was a good stay. We saw parts of the city we'd not seen; Doug had good practices and an enjoyable, maybe once-in-a-lifetime experience performing at Carnegie Hall. We spent time and got better acquainted with our cousins, William "Billy" and Donna Hooker. We had the blessing of spending time with our wonderful grandson, David Paul Randolph Hooker. We had good health and safe travel to New York, throughout New York, and leaving New York.
We took a Lyft ride to the Liberty Harbor Marina and RV Park, where we had stationed our motorhome for the duration of our time in the city. Our Lyft driver was a young man named Mr. Sterling. He was the best rideshare provider I have ever experienced: personable, warm, providing many interesting details about New York City and how to navigate traffic: being thoughtful and asking what route we would prefer to take, the shortest distance or the shortest time. If you have a way of choosing a Lyft driver when in New York, I would highly recommend his service. (I know Lyft uses an algorithm to make the assignments, but I'm just saying.)
So here are some final pictures of New York and New Jersey in the Jersey City area:

We launched our trip to Baltimore, with David being the navigator and co-pilot for his grandfather. After a way into the journey, he traded places with his grandmother and subsequently took a nap on the sofa in the coach. Once we had gone about half way, we stopped for gas and coffee. We traded drivers, and Patrise took over the driving and finished the journey to Baltimore, where we dropped off David. We also took some minutes to see Royal, our great granddaughter. We will see her again tomorrow, when we have dinner with her mother, our granddaughter Lael.
After dropping off David and seeing Royal, we made our way to the Washington-Baltimore KOA camp, south of Baltimore, but north of Washington, DC. We set up and then immediately went to the laundry room to wash our dirty clothes. We had a lot of laundry, since, we'd not been able to wash while in New York. After dinner, we worked on the travel blog, because we were three days behind in our postings. This posting will catch us up.
Here are photos of the journey to Baltimore, the visit with Royal and the rest of the day.

Royal does indeed look just like her mother.😂 What an enjoyable trip. I wish i could have seen David Paul. He has grown. How tall is he? You are blessed grandparents. God is so good! You will never forget this trip. Thanks for sharing it with me.
