This was the day for our last performance in the evening. However, before then, the group had the opportunity to visit Notre Dame, to glimpse the inside of the newly-restored sanctuary. Admission is free, but we got an early start, so as to get in before the large crowds inevitably arrived. The group traveled in three subgroups. Today is a better day! I was able to go to breakfast to Patrise’s favorite little bistro and we brought one of our choir colleagues with us who is also a member of our church, Velda North. Today, the practice rehearsal starts at 9:30 a.m. and it goes until 11:30 a.m. As a result, I was able to get more rest, and we had a more leisurely breakfast. I am feeling better today, but not totally well. The doctor told me to take it easy for a few days for me to have a voice to sing with Thursday night's and Friday night's concerts. It’s confirmed. I am really sick, and I need some help from a doctor. Patrise worked with the local operations coordinator for Mid America Productions, Maude, to make arrangements for an Urgent Care physician to visit me at the hotel. (We were astounded that we could actually get a doctor to come to the hotel, rather than having to go to an emergency room. What a fantastic convenience!) Today began before 7 am. I did not sleep well, and due to the time differences and jet lag, I woke up twice in the middle (2:30am and 4:30am) of the night and much too early (4:30am). Patrise was awakened by me the second time, and the two of us decided to go to the early breakfast seating around 7:15 a.m. prior to my 8:30 a.m. rehearsal. I am going to perform with the Trey Clegg Singers (TCS), and Patrise is traveling to accompany me.
